Felicity & Doug’s big day at Thornton Manor

I met up with the bride Felicity and her bridesmaids at the Gate house cottage which is on the grounds of Thornton Manor. Felicity was relaxing with her twin sister and older sister who were her bridesmaids along with her close friend. While they were all relaxing together having their hair and make up finished, I was able to capture some lovely moments on video. Felicity was ready in plenty of time to get into her beautiful dress which was at the manor house. It was lovely to catch the moment that Felicity showed her dress to her Father which was met with loving smiles.

The groom was waiting down stairs at the manor house ready to greet his wedding guests. Once it was time Doug made his way to the Dining room for the ceremony which is a beautiful Georgian-inspired room with walnut panelling. With all the guests now ready and waiting it was time for the arrival of the bride. Felicity walked with her parents through the avenue of lime trees which lined the way to the ceremony room. With the wind blowing the bride was swept into the room in front of her groom Doug, with tears amongst the guests watching on. Felicity looked stunning in her wedding dress with her long veil trailing behind.

The ceremony had tears of joy and so much love between the couple. With lovely readings and Vows from Felicity and Doug the couple were soon married. The newlyweds then had a long line of hugs and well wishes from all their guests. It was then time for the guests to throw the confetti which we always capture on film as it’s a lovely part of the day to remember back. We then went for a walk with Felicity and Doug outside which was directed by the photographer. This is a lovely thing to do as the couple have some time together to reflect on the day so far and we capture some lovely moments on camera of the happy couple walking the grounds of the manor. We also flew the drone around the grounds to capture the day as well. After the stroll in the wind it was then time for the wedding breakfast at the music Hall in Thornton Manor

Evening Reception at Thornton Manor Music Room

After the lovely heartfelt speeches which were inside the stunning Music Room which has spectacular wall panelling as their backdrop. The bride and groom made their way out to the reception rooms and hallways of the manor house. The Groom Doug then took to playing the bagpipes with his wedding guests. This was a brilliant addition to the wedding day as all the guests took to clapping, stamping their feet and dancing down the hallways. After the guests got some more drinks they moved back to the Music room which had been turned around so that there was a dance floor and band. Once the Newlyweds cut the wedding cake it was time to start their first dance as a married couple. When filming the first dance we set up a safety camera high up to catch most of the dance floor and we then film with a second camera in the audience and on the dance floor itself as we like to catch real moments as they happen.

As part of their Film package the couple received a longer edit film and extra edited scenes such as the Ceremony and Speeches which were all delivered on a USB in a wooden presentation box. For packages please see our prices page at filmpackages
