Double Tree Hilton, Wedding Photography | Amy & Andy
Being local to the Double Tree Hilton Chester made this beautiful and emotional wedding a dream to capture as I knew the lay of the land and could get started early and finish late to make sure every bit of the story was told. Cheshire has a lot of amazing wedding venues and after and the Double Tree Chester has got better and better after each renovation which has improved the wedding experience tenfold.
As a wedding photographer, the weather has its own part to play in the day and Amy & Andy struck lucky which such a glorious day, not too hot and not too cold and we even got an amazing sunset! Soon after the wedding breakfast and speeches concluded we went for a final stroll around the grounds just as gold hour hit, it was timed perfectly and created a few more stunning images to finish off their already beautiful album.
Wedding Ceremony in Chester
Their wedding ceremony took place on the grounds which features a Grade II listed 18th century Manor House which is the perfect backdrop as guests arrive. The wedding ceremony room features a long isle, bare brick walls with arched windows and exposed timber roof with lights that for amazing bouche when shot correctly. The spacious room situated on 12 acres of landscaped grounds was perfect as both preparations took place on the grounds me and my photography team could easily pop back and forth to capture guests arriving for the wedding ceremony and capture the final moments of bridal preparations.
Drinks Reception at Double Tree Hilton
After the emotional ceremony, the guests moved to a 19th-century glasshouse attached to the 18th-century manor house for drinks. This is a perfect opportunity for me to unobtrusively move around quietly and capture images of the guests relaxing and congratulating the bride and groom as they enjoy some drinks and Canapés.
After some drinks, we ventured outside where the bride and groom were greeted with a shower of confetti and a little more time with their guests as the manor house served as a backdrop to this relaxing time.
Our ethos is to film and photograph in a natural, unobtrusive way, letting the story of each Special Day unfold. We started with a pre-wedding shoot on a beach on the Liverpool coastline prior to the big day to break the ice so the photos on the day would be more relaxed. On the day itself, My team and I captured both photo and film of the entire day, both shot in a relaxed unobtrusive style which complemented each other perfectly. Amy & Andy wanted natural images of the day which is what we specialise in so with lots of careful timing, some skill and a bit of luck we were able to capture the images below and everyone has a good time along the way.
Congratulations to Amy & Andy on their wedding, and thank you for inviting us to play a small part in your Big Day.
