Jennifer & Chris Wedding at Capesthorne Hall

We started the day with a walk around Capesthorne hall grounds to film some beauty shots and took flight with the drone to video the venue by air. Drone filming comes as standard in all our film packages as it is the perfect way to set the scene. We are licensed drone pilots and able to film at most venues across Cheshire and the North West. The Bridal party was based at Capesthorne Hall’s South Tower, a relaxing Cottage for the Bride and Bridesmaids to get ready. I met a relaxed Jennifer who was having her hair put up while her bridesmaids and the mother of the bride were having drinks and breakfast snacks while taking turns having their makeup finished. With the bridal party relaxing I was able to video some lovely shots and capture some gorgeous photographs of the bride getting ready along with everyone having a great time.

With Jennifer now ready in her wedding dress she was able to enjoy a few moments to reflect. This is when we love to capture the photographs of the bride in her dress looking out of the window. Elsewhere, on the grounds of Capesthorne Hall, the Groom and his supporters were getting ready before making their way to the church, but before he could leave the groom Chris had one quick job to do. The couple had arranged to have a meeting side by side with only a door to separate them. I was able to photograph this breathtaking moment between them holding hands knowing how close they were to each other but so far away from the church. It wasn’t long till Chris had to leave to greet his wedding guests at the church.

The 14 Century Church, in Nether Alderley, was a wonderful backdrop for photographing and filming the wedding. Once Chris had greeted all of his guests he made his way to the end of the aisle to wait for his bride. Both the groom and registrar were both fitted with wireless microphones to ensure that we had clear audio of the bride and groom saying their wedding vows along with a microphone on the lectern for any readings. In the meantime, Jennifer had a lovely drive with her mother in an open-topped car on the way to St Mary’s church. Were her bridesmaids then waiting for her to arrive. It was soon time for a beautiful walk down the aisle, as the groom shed a tear as he saw Jennifer in her elegant dress walking alongside her mother. After the couple said their vows and shared their first married kiss they were met with a large round of applause from their family and friends. The couple even had a male choir at the church which sounded glorious. With everyone outside the church, there were lots of good wishes and even a little pony came to say hello!

Video at Capesthorne Hall

The wedding party returned to Capesthorne Hall, to relax and enjoy drinks in the Courtyard and formal Gardens. This gave us the opportunity to take informal photographs of the guests in a relaxed way that reflected the joy of the occasion. We again used the drone to film the bride and groom arriving at the venue by car which helps to tell the story of the day for their trailer and video story. Once Jennifer and Chris have seen their wedding guests and had a drink we go for a stroll to capture the just married moment between the couple. This gives the couple time together to reflect and enjoy the excitement of the day in a stunning setting. Our photography and filming philosophy is to be as unobtrusive and natural as possible. We like to let the day unfold organically, as we capture more genuine moments on film and photo this way. After a walk around the lakeside, gazebo, and bridge which were great focal points for reflective photographs of the Bride and Groom, we headed back to the marquee. It was then time for the wedding breakfast and the couple was greeted with a big round of applause and cheers.

Evening reception at Capesthorne Hall

After some lovely speeches and the wedding guests had enjoyed the wedding breakfast in the lakeside marquee it was time to transform the light-filled room into a colourful evening venue. With the evening reception ready and the band, all set up with the twinkly lights all around it was time for celebrations to start. With Drinks in guests’ hands, it was time for the Bride and groom to cut the cake and take to the dance floor for their First Dance as newlyweds. We photographed and filmed the whole day so that the happy couple would have lovely memories for the family to revisit again and again and to make their wedding video unique to them. It was such a pleasure to photograph and film their elegant wedding day. Congratulations to Jennifer and Chris on their wedding and our thanks to them for allowing us to be a part of their big day.
